Sesson 9 - Email

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! I'm enjoying lovely and beautiful New Jersey/New York with my honey! I hope you all have a wonderful one with family and friends as well.

Well, we have two more sessions left in this study and I'm so very proud of all of you for going through this journey. Through the ups, downs and different scenery of life as we know it.

We finished Revelation 12 and worked our way into chapter 13 this past session. Focusing on the first and second beasts and looking at the anti christ. One of the things that struck me is that Satan is such a copier. Deceitful copier that is! Mimicking what God has done and is doing to deceive as many as possible. It reminds me of Timothy challenging us to study the word of God so that we can rightly divide it. Rightly dividing which a reference to exactness demanded by trades like carpentry, masonry, meaning cutting it straight. So, that we understand the exactness of what God's word teaches.

Studying Matthew 24:3-31 this week has also challanged me to know God's word as it states in Matthew 1 - Take heed that no one deceives you. It will sound good, almost close, however there's a HUGE difference in sounding good and almost being close to what the "exactness" of truth requires.

Some other scriptures you might want to take a peek at this week reflecting the end of days/times are 2 Tim 3:1 - 4:8, 1 Thess 4:13 - 5:11, 2 Pet 2:1-22, 2 Thess. 2:1-16.
Awesome scriptures to look and evaluate how to implement them into your life getting ready for the glorious appearing of our Lord! A great way to look these up is www.blueletterbible.org

This session we traveled back in history and then we looked at the future and what it will look. Our flash backs and flash forwards if you will . As you might recall, we looked at the identification of the woman, the child and the red dragon. In addition, we looked at the possibilities of what the one-third of the stars could possibly represent as well. One of my favorites, was looking at the garland of twelve stars in Rev. 12:1 being a wreath representing a victory wreath and not just a crown that the counterfeit authority will wear. Praise the Lord we will be on the "victorious" side!

The 3 key points to remember from this lesson are as follows:
1. Everything about Revelation is the consummation of what began in Genesis
2. With every single alpha there is an omega
3. What He begins He also wraps up

It's amazing when we look at the current news to see how "Satan" is still busy in the middle East with all the unrest especially against the nation of Israel. Woe to the nations that do not support His nation!

Please see updates at the class blog at www.hereandnowpalmvalley.blogspot.com for the praises and prayer requests!

I look forward to seeing all of you Monday night for Session 9!

I trust this has been a wonderful week for you in the Word! Challenging at times to find the time but NECESSARY! I prayer is that it doesn't become a "chore" or "mundane" but that each time it is new and fresh with amazing truths and revelations that God wants you/me to "get" and be able to implement into your/my life to bring Him glory.

I thank each of you for the encouragement you are to me in watching you in your faith walk growing closer to Him and wanting to study His word! I LOVE it! You truly are a blessing!

Please pray for our sisters in Christ - so many are in deep need, hurtful situations, relational issues, health conditions, etc. that need to be held up in prayer! Intercession for each of us is mighty IMPORTANT and what a privilege it is to come into the throne room and talk to God on another's behalf.

God bless you with His amazing knowledge, grace, peace and strength! I look forward to seeing you for Session 8 on Monday night at the church office.

Session 7 - Praise/Prayer Requests

Praise:
Kim - God is patient and answer's prayers. Not how we expect them to always but he always answers them.

Prayer:
Cynthia N. - Please pray for work for her husband, Meryl as funds are depleted and pray for mental health and healing during this stressful time.

Christy C. - My mother was severely traumatized by her eldest brother in South Korea when she grew up. My mom mentioned that she has been praying that God would keep her brother alive until she was able to talk with him one last time (he is in his 80s or 90s). It seems from what I can tell that she wants to let him know she has forgiven him although she didn't mention that specifically when I last spoke with her. I've never met him but from what i heard he lives a lone in the mountains (everyone abandoned him because of what kind of person he is/or was. I don't think he knows about God (my mom's family was Confucian I think although majority are Christians now). I would like to go to Korea with my parents to see my relatives whom I've never met, however my dad's health is in poor condition and my parents need to save some money for the trip. If we could pray together that God gives my dad the strength for travel, heals him from his pain, that my mom and uncle will find healing from God and that my parents will set a plan for saving money aside for this trip, that would be awesome! I know God can do anything and I really feel that my mom and uncle would have an opportunity for some healing in their life which is desperately needed if they were able to go on this trip. I've asked my mom about going without my dad, but she said she doesn't want to leave him alone because she has found him on the floor in convulsions and a couple of times if she wasn't there to take him to the hospital who knows what might have happened to him.

Session 7 - Resume back on June 14th

Just a reminder we will resume back on June 14th as well, as a reminder to bring any items you might be able to donate to the Children's Crisis Nursery!

Session 6 - Email

Happy Memorial Day! I hope you have a wonderful relaxing holiday with your friends and families!

Please use this time between sessions to review the first six lessons. You will be amazed at things you might have "forgotten" and be thankful that you spent the time reviewing! We will meet back up on June 14th at the church office in the creative room.

Session six highlight for me was that you can KNOW that you know Him! No more wondering, no more flip floping - but complete and total assurance! Oh, that is my prayer for each of us. I know many of us know but for the one's still left wondering - God is specific in His word on what you will be showing in your life (I John). Don't allow Satan to keep you from truly knowing 100% for sure of your eternal destiny. Fully surrender to Him and obey Him in every aspect of your life - it is a road that you definitely want to be on!

Jer 6:16 - This is what the Lord says: "Stand where the roads cross and look. Ask where the old way is, where the good way is and walk on it. If you do, you will find rest for yourselves."

Keep your memory verse close at hand - Rev. 17:14 "They will make war against the Lamb, but the lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords, and King of kings and with Him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

God bless all of you precious and valuable women in God's Kingdom!

On fire with the power of the Holy Spirit, is how I would describe Session 4! What a challenge for each of us to hold open our hand to release whatever stronghold is in our lives right now. It brings back the "drop the ball" challenge from Session 1.

God is so precious to give us each opportunities to "live" what we are being taught doesn't he? Hard? Tough? Exhausting? Challenging? Absolutely, but I love that our High Priest, Jesus Christ, learned by obedience in what he was suffering! (Heb 5:8) Being total human, he was tempted in all things even as we are and yet due to the joy set before Him, he endured the cross. He was in complete surrender to the will of God. Are you completely surrendered?

I have asked myself that same question recently as my life has had some interesting & challenging issues arise. In addition I've asked him, Lord, what would my responses and attitudes look like where I could hear you whisper - "You've Won!"

He brought to mind Col 3:12 which says, "Since I chose you to be the holy people I love, you must clothe yourself with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which bind us all together in perfect harmony."

Forgiveness is the key to allowing other temptations to not have an opportunity to push open the door to disobedience. I ask are you willing to "let go" and "send forth" the areas of unforgiveness in your life by trusting that your God is a BIG enough God to handle the situation for you? You can TRUST HIM!

Satan would LOVE for us to keep that little pinky holding on tight! Don't allow him the satisfaction or victory to keep you in that stronghold. Our Lord conquered the grave to give us the power to live victoriously through the power of His Holy Spirit. Rely on Him! Not by our strength but through Him and Him alone.

Thank you for all of you walking through this study - truly you are a blessing above all measure! Thank you Jackie for doing a wonderful job last Monday - I appreciated it tremendously!

I look forward to seeing all of you Monday night - it's hard to believe we are almost half way through the study

To the mom's - Happy Mother's Day tomorrow! And to all the ladies, God bless you and keep you!

Session 3 - Email

"Let it go" and "send it forth" keeps ringing in my ears from Monday night session! That it is the will of God to be on "top" not "underneath."

I am sure many of us have ample opportunities in our lives right now to be in God's will. I pray that we would pursue His righteousness in the choices of decision that we make.

I love where it tells us in the following scripture of Psalms 73:28 "That it is GOOD for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust (let go/send it forth) in the Lord God. That I may declare all your good works." Okay, the let go/send it forth wasn't actually in the verse but the implied application is there for us. This verse gives us a purpose in drawing near to him and trusting Him so that we might tell of what God has done for us. That through His power we were able to "overcome." He gave us victory, power, and the right to say "I WIN" through his death on the cross bringing him glory.

Even though technically we don't have homework outside of our workbook, remember to daily look for ways that God is revealing himself to you, look for those "Who Is This?" moments, and ask God to help you protos - prioritize what he tells us in Deut 6 - to Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul and with ALL your strength!

God bless you with understanding and knowledge of His plan for your life to accomplish His will so that he may whisper to you - You Won!

This week has marched forward in full force hasn't it? I know it has for me and I pray that you have been doing your "homework." What homework you might ask? Well, glad you should ask First, we were to write down a day to day account of your relationship walk with Jesus. Specifically what you do daily to spend time with Him. Second, we were to remember and describe a possible "Who Is This" moment! Oh, now you remember! Sorry - teasing - let me get back on track now.

I was challenged by studying John this week and admiring his "choice" to not let his hardship, his loneliness, his lack of compansionship or teaching be his "excuses" to not be walking in the Spirit. Help us Lord Jesus make that choice for you!

I loved doing Day 4 of homework describing Christ in Rev. 1:13-16 - seeing Him in so many facets of his being such as his holiness, his High Priest role, his judgment, his authority and smack dab in the middle of His church ever watchful and in complete control.

Check out the blog for the newest updates - www.hereandnowpalmvalley.blogspot.com

I look forward to all of you watching Session 3 - "edge of your seat" type of session! That's all I'm going to say!

1. MEMORY VERSE- Rev. 17:14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is the Lord of lords and King of kings and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.

2. Daily ask God to REVEAL himself to you in some way - journal that down each day!

3. DROP THE BALL - take a deep fresh breath of the Spirit to walk victoriously through Christ! Use at least two scriptures to help you fight against the "ball" daily!

Please check out the class blog located at www.hereandnowpalmvalley.blogspot.com You need to check out the pictures. What a beautiful group of ladies! There are a sneaky few that I missed but be on the lookout as I will "hunt" you down

I'm anxiously awaiting and thrilled to see all that God has in store for each of us as we learn more about our glorious Lord coming in total glory and majesty! I can't wait to see what's around the corner!

Stay in the Word - it is the active, living, breathing, word of God Almighty. Remember the promise of blessing to those who read, hear and OBEY what we learn in Revelation. As James tells us, be doers of the Word and not hearers only!

God bless you abundantly and amazingly above all you can think or ask! I'm praying for all of us that we grow exponentially during these weeks of study!
