Session 4 - Email

On fire with the power of the Holy Spirit, is how I would describe Session 4! What a challenge for each of us to hold open our hand to release whatever stronghold is in our lives right now. It brings back the "drop the ball" challenge from Session 1.

God is so precious to give us each opportunities to "live" what we are being taught doesn't he? Hard? Tough? Exhausting? Challenging? Absolutely, but I love that our High Priest, Jesus Christ, learned by obedience in what he was suffering! (Heb 5:8) Being total human, he was tempted in all things even as we are and yet due to the joy set before Him, he endured the cross. He was in complete surrender to the will of God. Are you completely surrendered?

I have asked myself that same question recently as my life has had some interesting & challenging issues arise. In addition I've asked him, Lord, what would my responses and attitudes look like where I could hear you whisper - "You've Won!"

He brought to mind Col 3:12 which says, "Since I chose you to be the holy people I love, you must clothe yourself with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which bind us all together in perfect harmony."

Forgiveness is the key to allowing other temptations to not have an opportunity to push open the door to disobedience. I ask are you willing to "let go" and "send forth" the areas of unforgiveness in your life by trusting that your God is a BIG enough God to handle the situation for you? You can TRUST HIM!

Satan would LOVE for us to keep that little pinky holding on tight! Don't allow him the satisfaction or victory to keep you in that stronghold. Our Lord conquered the grave to give us the power to live victoriously through the power of His Holy Spirit. Rely on Him! Not by our strength but through Him and Him alone.

Thank you for all of you walking through this study - truly you are a blessing above all measure! Thank you Jackie for doing a wonderful job last Monday - I appreciated it tremendously!

I look forward to seeing all of you Monday night - it's hard to believe we are almost half way through the study

To the mom's - Happy Mother's Day tomorrow! And to all the ladies, God bless you and keep you!
